Jake Cattanach

General Contractor, Principal

Jake Cattanach is a licensed contractor with a professional bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Woodbury University, which affords him a unique range of knowledge from design and construction drawing detailing, to management and execution. Born and raised in New Jersey, Jake grew up on the construction sites of his father, also a general contractor, where he learned to operate heavy equipment and manage complex construction projects. This formative experience helped Jake learn how to operate a successful construction business from an early age. Jake’s professional construction management experience in San Diego started in 2016 while working for FAIA Architect-Developer Jonathan Segal, building, drawing, and managing multiple concrete mid-rise projects.

Paul Esteban

Architect

Paul has over 10 years of experience in the design and construction field with a focus on housing in Southern California. Paul began his career as a job captain for an engineering office where he developed his interest for pragmatic and efficient design.

Prior to joining Starcon Industries, Paul pursued his interest in design as the Project Manager for Ergo Architecture where he oversaw multifamily housing development projects and led the team for restaurant design. Paul holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Woodbury University in San Diego and is a licensed architect in California.

Lorena Jaramillo

Construction Project Manager

Lorena has performed construction and project management services on over $125 million of commercial and residential projects. Prior to joining Starcon Industries, Lorena started her career in construction engineering at Turner Construction in Florida.

Lorena relocated to pursue her passion for providing housing, leading her to work for an affordable housing developer in San Diego County, as well as a market rate general contractor in Orange County. As a Project Engineer, Lorena worked on multi-family projects throughout California. Lorena received her Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Construction Management from the University of Central Florida.
