15 Multifamily Units

Anticipated Completion in 2022

Saturn V is a new construction multifamily development including 15 multifamily units comprising of 10 studios, 4 1BR/1BA units, and a renovation of an existing 3-bedroom single-family home. The project includes themes of Spanish Colonial Revival architecture popular in San Diego in the early twentieth century.

To preserve the historic character of the neighborhood, project architect Tyler Wallace, principal of TFWA Architecture, draws design inspiration from Irving Gill, an architect active in San Diego during the early decades of the twentieth century and a pioneer in the modern movement who became known for incorporating elements of Spanish Colonial Revival in his modern designs. The juxtaposition of the two styles creates a dynamic interplay of design elements and color palettes that reflects the diversity of the present day Sherman Heights neighborhood.

The new building includes efficient one bedroom and studio layouts, making it ideal workforce housing and helps to close the gap in the local housing market often referred to as the “missing middle”. Located close to public transit options and within walking distance of some fantastic coffee shops, bars, and restaurants, this project promises to bring future residents a vibrant and dynamic lifestyle in one of San Diego’s most promising up-and-coming neighborhoods.
